Inc. Green Initiative
Infincom
recognizes the impact that all companies have on the environment. It is the responsibility of everyone
to make an effort to conserve, reuse and recycle.
Infincom has taken action on this initiative and has set goals for the
years to come.
Infincom’s strategy addresses three main
areas:

Reduce paper dependency
·
Reduce energy consumption
·
Recycle and reduce waste
By incorporating
Digital Gateway’s eAutomate1 software and Alltel’s nationwide
wireless network, Infincom has significantly reduced the service department’s
reliance on paper. All service calls
are efficiently logged, dispatched and documented using digital communication
and state of the art service management software.
In the coming
months Infincom will be digitizing all invoices and storing them in a Prismtm
DocRecord2 document management system. Infincom has been helping companies
for over a year with their green initiatives using Prism Software’s DocRecord
system and is now in the process of incorporating it ourselves in every
department.
Infincom has
encouraged their employees to save on the rising cost of fuel by asking for
their commitment to telecommute at least one day a week. Those who have the capacity in their
roles within the company can work securely from their home office over the
company VPN. By assigning
territories to technicians Infincom has reduced the
amount
of fuel consumption by field service technicians
by 25%.
In the past
Infincom has recycled up to 90% of the cardboard from equipment sales. The goal for the next year is to
consistently attain 90% every month.
Infincom hopes to
show their customers what steps can be taken for every company to make a
difference. These actions will have
a positive impact on the environment and have a positive fiscal impact on the
company.
